The Leader of the National Federation Party Professor Biman Prasad has called on all Fijians in the real spirit of unity to remember the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
In his Easter message, Prasad says it is a time to reflect on the sacrifices made for and a time to take notice of all Fijians who are still suffering.
The NFP Leader also called upon all people in leadership positions to reflect on the selfless and compassionate values of Jesus Christ.
He says all leaders must look at the example that Christ set, as he had foregone comfort and riches to serve the people.
He says while most of us may be able to find the comfort of families and friends, it is important to also remember all those that are currently helplessly suffering from economic or physical conditions.
Prasad says this Easter, we must embrace the values of compassion and love and values that Jesus Christ embodied.
