Leader of Unity Fiji Savenaca Narube

We have emerged victorious through the pandemic that has greatly affected us and today we celebrate Diwali with hope, motivation, courage and resilience to overcome all future challenges as a nation.

This has been highlighted by the Leader of Unity Fiji Savenaca Narube in his Diwali message where he says Diwali celebration in Fiji has become an integral part of our lives which adds to the uniqueness and diversity of our beloved nation.

He says the nation has lost many of our loved ones and we have struggled together as a country economically, socially, emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually during the COVID-19 pandemic.

He says let the light of Diwali remove the darkness that we have endured in our nation while, at the same time, allow us to embrace, reflect and remember our loved ones lost.

Narube says this Diwali will be a time where we share our happiness, hope and light to comfort and help our fellow Fijians that struggle around us and let it be a time of forgiveness, unity and new beginnings.

He adds that we all should come together to celebrate this Diwali as one nation, one people with lights shining over darkness to build a united and better Fiji.
