Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says through budgetary allocations and the Prime Minister’s Trust Fund they have approximately $3.5 million available on hand to meet any of the additional costs.
Sayed-Khaiyum says they are also in discussions with Fiji’s development partners.
He adds that currently Tropical Cyclone Yasa is projected to go through some major populated areas so the impact of that from an economic perspective will be vast.
Sayed-Khaiyum says lets pray and hope the cyclone changes its track.
