Attorney-General and the Minister responsible for Climate Change, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says all of us face different types of challenges as far as climate change is concerned.

The AG highlighted this while officiating at the Fiji School of Medicine Students Association Cultural Night.

Sayed-Khaiyum says we face different types of challenges with some countries like Fiji being more prone to cyclones and some being only 12 feet above sea level.

He says some are facing challenges in terms of drinking safe water, some are losing their land with encroaching seas etc.

He adds one of the more critical issues to add is health itself.

Sayed-Khaiyum also highlighted how important their studies are and what they will give back to their nation.

He says after two years of COVID, the Government is now able to provide more scholarships and a lot more assistance to the students.

The Attorney General also thanked the Students Association for choosing climate change as the theme for their cultural night.
