We are hoping the Judiciary will look into the fines being issued to those who are violating curfew, social gathering and lockdown regulations - AG

Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says the government thinks that there could be consistency and they are hoping the Judiciary will look into the fines being issued to those who are violating curfew, social gathering and lockdown regulations.

When Fijivillage asked him in relation to some Magistrates issuing fines as low as $200 to those who are caught violating these regulations, Sayed-Khaiyum says hopefully the magistrates will be able to look at how they are giving the rulings.
