USP staff and students have been urged to join the Equity March that will be held at USP tomorrow to mark International Women’s Day.

The Chair of the Association of University of the South Pacific Staff Rosalia Fatiaki says they had a panel discussion yesterday where they discussed about a Charter for women managers in higher education that was passed by the USP Council in 1996.

Fatiaki says they are calling USP to implement that Charter.

She adds a lot has to be done at USP in terms of promoting women.

The march has been organised by the Association of University of the South Pacific Staff and USP Staff Union.

It will be held from 5pm tomorrow from the gym to the ICT Theatre Foyer.
