Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade, Manoa Kamikamica

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade, Manoa Kamikamica says some discussions are being made around the Commission of Inquiry related to rebuilding systems and infrastructure from a negative state, due to what he described as 16 years of mismanagement.

Kamikamica says the People’s Alliance Party fully supports Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka’s leadership going into the 2026 elections.

Kamikamica says many Fijians may not realise the amount of work and development currently underway.

He confirms that they are all backing the Prime Minister in his bid for re-election.

Deputy Party Leader of the People’s Alliance, Ro Filipe Tuisawau says he and the party members have fully supported the Prime Minister's leadership going into the 2026 elections.

Ro Filipe says Rabuka has already indicated that he will stand again in the next general election.

Rabuka did not make any comments after the cabinet meeting.
