Fiji men’s rugby league 9s coach, Vula Dakuitoga has apologised on behalf of his team for their 8-0 loss against Samoa in the Pacific Games 2023 Rugby League 9s gold medal final last night.
Dakuitoga says the loss was a hard pill to swallow for them.
He says everyone wanted to win but those who took the chances will win and Samoa definitely did that.
Meanwhile, the women’s rugby league 9s beat Samoa 4-0 to win bronze.
Fiji is currently 13th on the medal tally with 1 gold, 6 silver and 4 bronze medals.
