Water will be restored by later this evening or early tomorrow morning to residents in the areas of Upper Delainavesi, Lami Village, Upper Lami Town, Veisari, Valenicina, Matata, Osonabukete, Upper Samabula, Upper Ragg Avenue, Lower Ragg Avenue, Tamavua, Tacirua, Sakoca, Dokanaisuva and Colo-i-Suva after there was a blockage at the Savura Raw Water Pumping Station.

Water Authority of Fiji Chief Operating Officer Seru Soderberg says they have cleared the blockage and are working on restoring water now.

He adds they are looking at restoring water to the upper Samabula areas first then move towards Tacirua, Colo-i-Suva and onwards.

Meanwhile, the Water Authority of Fiji says valve operations will be carried out to maintain levels and sustain system pressure until repairs can be completed.

They say water carting trucks are on standby and can be requested in the case of an emergency by calling 5777.
