Water supply has been partially restored in some areas of the Suva-Nausori corridor, including Nakasi, Makoi, Tovata, Tuirara, Nadawa and Nadera, allowing people to gradually resume their daily routines.

The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) earlier said that last night’s disruption was caused by mechanical issues at the Waila Raw Water Pump Station.

They say this significantly affected water production at the Waila Water Treatment Plant and low water levels at key storage reservoirs, including the Wainibuku Reservoir.

We are also trying to assess other areas where water supply has been restored.
