Water level increasing in Rewa, Navua Rivers

Water level is increasing in the Rewa and Navua river.
Commissioner Central’s officer confirmed that as of 7pm the water level at the Rewa river is 3.5 meters.
The critical level is 4.5 meters and with the high tide coming in at midnight tonight, the levels are expected to increase much further.
Looking at the Navua river, the level has increased from 1.2meters from this afternoon to 1.98meters.
The critical level is 4 meters.
People are being advised to take necessary precaution with high tide taking place in 2 hour times.
