A few areas in Nadi will be experiencing water disruption until further notice.
The Water Authority of Fiji has stated that they are currently in the process of conducting flushing works to eliminate suspected trapped air within the water reticulation systems in the Nadi area.
They say the air locks have been causing intermittent water supply to the elevated areas of Nadi in the last few days.
WAF crew members are currently working to increase pressure on the WAF bulk main that will eliminate trapped air in the system which will result in a full restoration and normal supply to the affected areas.
Areas will experience disruptions include, Maigania, Solovi, Lavusa, Masi and Sonaisali.
Water carting trucks have been deployed to service these affected areas.
WAF Board Director Kamal Gounder says that they was committed to resolving the water issues in the Nadi area and is working around the clock to get water normalized.
