The staff of Water Authority of Fiji have raised $2000 that has been donated to the Fiji Cancer Society, as part of their Pinktober Campaign.

The Water Authority in an effort to raise awareness and to encourage people to make donations to support the fight against cancer earlier this month distributed pink cans to all their departments to raise money as part of the campaign.

Cancer Survivor Laisa Vulakoro acknowledged the support from the Authority and also encouraged more than 200 Water Authority staff at the event to always think positive in every little thing that they do in life.

Fiji Cancer Society Board Member Inoke Bainimarama says he was overwhelmed to see the setup and support, adding their main focus was on early detection and prevention.
