The All Blacks booked their place in the final of the Rugby World Cup against France after a 20-6 win against Australia last night at Eden Park.
Traditionally, prepared to absorb the early pressure thrown at them by opposition teams, in front of 60,000 plus spectators the New Zealand side burst out of the starting gate and took a 14-6 lead into halftime thanks to a Ma’a Nonu try after some great work by inspirational fullback Israel Dagg.
They dominated in the second spell and refused to release their grasp on the match.
Two minutes after the start of the second spell, Pat McCabe did not release the ball after being tackled and Weepu kicked the penalty for 17-6.
Piri Weepu came back from the bench to kick the winning penalty for NZ to reach the final by 20 points to 6.
All Blacks captain, Richie McCaw was emotional with a win knowing how well they have played in this game.
Australian captain, James Horwill said that they failed to start well from the opening whistle which affected the game results.
Winning coach, Graham Henry knows how important was this win with his players laying their body on the line for 80 minutes.
Wallabies coach, Robbie Deans accepted their loss to a better side who committed little mistakes on the night.
