Wales hits historic 11 consecutive losses after Wallabies defeat 52-20

Wales is set to reach an all-time low in their 143-year international rugby history after suffering a crushing 52-20 defeat to the Wallabies in Cardiff this morning.

This loss follows a disappointing run of form, including last weekend's defeat against Fiji, which matched their previous record of 10 consecutive Test losses under former coach Steve Hansen in 2002 and 2003.

Today’s result extends that streak to 11, marking a new and unwanted milestone for Warren Gatland’s side.

Since their last victory against Georgia during the Rugby World Cup in October 2023, Wales has endured defeats to Argentina, Scotland, England, Ireland, France, Italy, South Africa, and Fiji, along with two losses to Australia.

With world champions South Africa awaiting them this Saturday, Wales faces the grim prospect of going an entire calendar year without a Test win, something not seen since 1937 when they lost three matches in 12 months.
