Waiqele Secondary girls qualify for Secondary Schools Championship  quarter finals after 4-nil win

Waiqele Secondary School has become the first girls team to qualify for the Extra Fiji Secondary Schools Championship 2025 quarter finals after thrashing Maharishi Sanatan College 4-nil in their group match.

The Sanjesh Lal-coached side remains unbeaten throughout the group stage.

In the Girls Open grade, Waiqele Secondary beat Maharishi Sanatan College 4-nil, Dreketi Central College defeated Nilsen College 2-nil, while Vunimoli Islamia College and Tavua College drew 1-all.

In the Under 19 grade, Tabia College edged Swami Vivekananda College 2-1 and Khalsa College beat Nadi Muslim College 1-nil.

In the Under 17 grade, Nadi Sangam College defeated Vashist Muni College 1-nil, Tilak High School overcame Rishikul Sanatan College 1-nil, while Ba Sangam and Labasa College played out a nil-all draw.

In the Under 15 grade, Nadi Sangam College secured a 2-1 win over Labasa College.

The competition continues in Ba.

The finals will be at Govind Park on Saturday.
