WAF advises Fijians in affected areas to store water

The Water Authority of Fiji is advising Fijians in the Western and Northern Divisions to store drinking water in case of emergency and to boil all drinking water.

WAF says while the teams are working hard to maintain a good water supply throughout the country, the current weather may affect their system.

The current situation can clog water intakes and pump stations, causing damage to water mains, and can increase high turbidity levels and electricity supply disruptions.

WAF says water carting trucks are on standby and you can call them on 5777.
