Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation, Mereseini Vuniwaqa has sent her condolences to the family and friends of Dr. Sitiveni Yanuyanutawa who was laid to rest today.
Dr. Yanuyanutawa who was the Director for the Fiji National Council for Disabled Persons passed away on Tuesday.
Vuniwaqa says he was a powerful advocate for people living with disabilities and working to change the perception and to develop policy in Fiji that continues to improve the lives of these people.
The funeral service was held at the Wainadoi SDA Church and Dr. Yanuyanutawa was laid to rest at the Suva Cemetary.
Also present at the funeral were Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama and the Minister for Health, Dr. Ifereimi Waqainabete.
