Continuous heavy rain this morning has caused flooding in Vunitogoloa, Korotale Road, Waimari Road, Nasau Bridge and Barotu areas in Rakiraki.
Rakiraki Town Council Chief Executive Officer, Sailosi Sawana says they started experiencing heavy rain early this morning and before 8.30am, many roads were flooded.
Sawana says they expect some dredging plans to occur this year in Rakiraki Town and nearby areas.
The Fiji Roads Authority advises the public to prioritise their safety, stay vigilant and not attempt to cross the flooded roadways.
