Residents of Lautoka have raised concerns over the Vunato rubbish dumpsite that is filled with heavy smoke for the past two days.
They say nothing has been done to stop the smoke as it's a serious health concern for those living near the site.
Residents say those living beside the dump have been breathing in this smoke since Monday.
A resident has described the smell of the smoke from the dumpsite as unpleasant and toxic, and many have posted on social media that the smoke is unhygienic.
fijivillage News has sent questions to the Lautoka City Council and their Health Department regarding this issue and is awaiting their response.
