Votu out, new captain for quarters

A new captain is likely to lead the Digicel Fiji 7s team in the quarterfinal of the Nelson Mandela Bay 7s tomorrow morning against England.

Captain Watisoni Votu is down with an injury and the coaching staff of Alifereti Dere and Etuate Waqa will give either vice captain, Emosi Vucago and Osea Kolinisau the chance to be in charge in the quarterfinal.

It is a big loss for Fiji knowing Votu’s contribution in the team especially in the forwards.

He is likely to be replaced by Aminiasi Nava who will partner Pio Tuwai and James Brown in the forwards.

The backline combination of Vucago, Kolinisau and Joeli Lutumailagi will start with either Miti Nacagilevu, Joeli Lotawa or Nikola Matawalu on the wing.

Kolinisau said that they have to start well against England in the quarter final.
