Volcom Fiji Pro set to return

Volcom Fiji Pro set to return
The Volcom Fiji Pro is set to return to Cloudbreak and Restaurants on June 3rd to the 15th despite reports of it being cancelled by some international media.

ASP International Contest Director Matt Wilson says Volcom’s decision to bring the world’s best surfers back to one of the most iconic locations on the planet provides the perfect addition to ASP International’s solid stable of elite events in 2012.

Dual World Surf Champion Mick Fanning said Cloudbreak and Restaurants are without a doubt two of the best waves on earth so having Volcom bring an event back to Fiji is insane.

He added the locals are classic, the fishing is awesome, the waves are perfect and that he is stinging to get back to Fiji.

The last ASP title event in Fiji was held in 2008 and was won by Kelly Slater who was ranked 1st at the end of the ASP World Tour in 2011.
