Visits to patients at Labasa Hospital suspended until further notice due to increase in COVID-19 cases in the North
Labasa Hospital.

The Ministry of Health says visits to patients admitted at the Labasa Hospital are not permitted until further notice as there is an increase in COVID-19 positive cases in the Northern Division.

They say this is being done for the protection of patients and staff at the Labasa Hospital.

The Ministry further says personal items for patients admitted at the Labasa Hospital can be dropped off at Tent 6 on the hospital premises.

They add one carer per bedridden or immobilized patient is permitted but the carer must be fully vaccinated and they will stay through the duration of the period of admission for the patient.

The Ante-Natal Clinic Services at the Hospital will be operating from the Medical Services Pacific Labasa office, Naiyaca Subdivision from Wednesday.
