For the first time a video of Fiji's National Anthem being sung in sign language has been launched by Consultancy Pacific, Fiji Association of the Deaf and the University of the South Pacific's Faculty of Arts, Law and Education.

Consultant for Deaf Consultancy Pacific, Krishneer Sen says the national anthem is the pride of all Fijians and the way we connect ourselves to the nation.

The President of Fiji Association of the Deaf, Makarita Vuli thanked USP for making the video and says it is a great opportunity for the deaf population in Fiji.

Vuli says the video can be used as a resource material in the mainstream society for the children in schools especially special schools, staff, teachers and the deaf population to eliminate inequality.

USP’s Dean of Faculty of Arts, Law and Education, Dr. Akanisi Kedrayate says the video is a milestone for the Deaf Association and for all the people who support inclusion, equality and inner diversity.
