“I want to use my talent to help children living with cancer.”
These are the words of Vanuatu pop Diva Vanessa Quai who is preparing to sing in a concert to help the Walk On Walk Strong campaign raise money for children living with cancer.
Quai whose mother hails from Yasawa said she was inspired to help in the cause after watching 15-year-old Tae Kami’s DVD where she talked about her experience and challenges.
Quai said when children are diagnosed with cancer, it is an unfair fight for anyone connected to them.
Meanwhile, Vanessa Quai visited the children at the CWM Hospital today and sang three songs which put smiles on the children’s faces.
The Walk On Walk Strong concert will be held at 7pm Friday at the Vodafone Arena.
A nationwide appeal will also be held this Saturday.
The WOWS Walk will take place from the Vodafone Arena to Suva Grammar and back to the arena at 7am Saturday.
