The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s side put on an impressive performance as they ran in six tries to beat Japan 36-12 in their last pool game at the HSBC SVNS in Vancouver.

Unfortunately it is too little too late as the USA and Australia have both qualified from their pool into the cup quarter finals this afternoon.

Reapi Uluinasau and Heleina Young scored two tries each while Ana Maria Naimasi and Raijieli Daveua scored the the other two.

Three of the tries were converted by Ana Maria Naimasi.

The Fijiana will next play in the 9th place playoff at 7.21am tomorrow.

The women’s cup quarter finals are at 11.55am, the cup semi finals are at 7.59am tomorrow with the final at 12.43pm.
