17-year-old Rasiga Valani of Kamil College

17-year-old Rasiga Valani of Kamil College has set his sight on breaking the Senior Boys High Jump record in next year’s Coca Cola Games after jumping a height of 2 metres to collect gold in the Intermediate Boys High Jump.

Valani was 0.1 metres short of breaking the Intermediate Boys record.

He says he was aiming to break the record set by Malakai Kaiwalu of Xavier College in 2012, but he came short.

Ratu Simione Kaiwalu of Xavier College won silver and Neumi Saukuru of Central College won bronze.
