Vaivai wins first gold medal in 2022 Pacific Mini Games

Apolonia Vaivai has just secured Fiji’s first gold medal after lifting 95kg in the women’s 76kg weightlifting snatch competition at the 2022 Pacific Mini Games in Saipan.

Vaivai won silver in the clean & jerk with a lift of 111kg giving her a total of 206kg.

Australia won gold with a total lift of 211kg.
