The vaccination program for children between the ages of 5-years to 11-years is expected to start within a month.

The Permanent Secretary for Health Doctor James Fong says what he knows is that their team have met with a few of their development partners on the vaccine and they should be able to start their program within a month.

He says their staff will need to be trained when using Pfizer vaccine in pediatric doses because it requires some specifications.

Dr Fong says they anticipate that within the month, they will get the training going and start deploying the vaccines.
