Rewa suffers shock defeat to Navua in VPL

Rewa’s hope of winning its first ever Vodafone Premier League title has suffered a major blow after losing 2-0 to Navua at the Uprising Sports Centre this afternoon.

Suliano Masi Doli scored the first goal for Navua while Apisai Smith scored the second goal.

In another match, Suva hammered Nasinu 5-0 at the ANZ Stadium.

Christopher Wasasala and Sairusi Nalaubu scored two goals each while Madhavan Goundar scored a goal for Suva.

Suva now leads the VPL points table with 25 points while Rewa is second with 23 points. Navua sits 7th with 10 points while Nasinu is last with 8 points.

There are two more rounds left in the VPL.
