First year university student, Avantika Kumari says she hopes that by the time she completes her studies, things would completely normalize so that she can get job opportunities.

She says she is currently pursing Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Economics and understood things better through face-to-face classes than studying online.

The 19-year-old from Nausori says she sometimes faces connectivity issues while attending lectures virtually and gets distracted by social media and family commitments.

Kumari says her mother is a shopkeeper and her father’s income is not impacted, however, the number of customers coming at their grocery store was significantly reduced due to COVID-19.

She says that she feels that things are slowly normalizing and is urging everyone to get vaccinated so that those who are struggling and have been laid off from work can earn for their families again.
