There is good news for students of University of Fiji as the institution has announced a 10%  reduction in tuition fees for all its courses and programs from 2022.

Pro-Chancellor, Ambassador Kamlesh Arya says the Council approved the reduction in fees in view of the hardship faced by families due to COVID-19 and the changes to the Tertiary Students Loans Services sponsorship from 2022.

Arya says the change in TSLS sponsorship meant that many students in Year 13 would find it difficult to proceed to higher education due to limitations inflicted by COVID-19.

He says private fee-paying students can also make payment plans with the University’s finance office which has been extended until the end of November.

Arya says the Council is optimistic the fee reduction by 10% will bring some financial relief.
