Uluinasau recalled to strengthen Fijiana 7s squad for Vancouver

Olympic bronze medallist Reapi Uluinasau has been recalled to the Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s squad for the Vancouver 7s next week.

Uluinasau was instrumental while featuring for the Tuva Women's side during the Coral Coast 7s a month ago.

The former captain’s inclusion will boost the team’s performance and experience as they prepare for the tournament.

The final 12-member squad includes Lavenia Cavuru, Sesenieli Donu, Rogosau Adimereani, Sera Bolatini, Ilisapeci Delaiwau, Livia Naidei, Vika Nakacia, Adita Milinia, Silika Qalo, Mereula Torooti, and Mere Vocevoce.

The women's competition at the Vancouver 7s will be held from Saturday to Monday.

Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s will take on Japan at 10am next Saturday in their first pool match, they will then play France at 3.52pm on the same day before playing Great Britain at 9.18am next Sunday in their last pool match.

The women’s cup quarter-finals will kick off at 3.32pm next Sunday, the semi-finals will begin at 9.14am on Monday, 24th February, and the cup final will kick off at 1.41pm.

Meanwhile, the Fiji Men's National side will take on Uruguay at 7.18am next Saturday for their first pool match; they will then take on the USA at 12.45pm on the same day before playing Spain at 6.52am next Sunday in their last pool match.

The men’s cup quarter-final will kick off at 12.51pm next Sunday, the cup semi-finals will begin at 8.30 am Monday, 24th February, and the Cup Final will kick off at 1.05 pm.
