The USA Men's Basketball team will be looking to add their sixteenth Olympic gold medal when they take on the French team in the final later this afternoon.

A historically dominant force in international basketball, the United States has struggled in Tokyo and even before it.

They lost exhibition matches against Nigeria and Australia last month and were beaten by France 83-76 in the Olympic pool play.

The U.S. men's basketball team will face France for the second time at the Tokyo Olympics at 2pm today.

The women's gold medal match between the USA and Japan will be at 2.30pm tomorrow.
