The URF Wardens side coached by Timoci Wainiqolo has today gone home $25,000 richer after beating FMF Fiji Warriors in the finals of the Uprising Fiji International 7s by 31-26.
The FMF Fiji Warriors will receive $5,000.00.
The URF Wardens has the likes of captain Apisai Naiyabo, Joji Ragamate, who played exceptionally well during the two-day tournament, Ilai Tinai and former Suva Grammar sprinter, Niko Verekauta.
The FMF Fiji Warriors which has the likes of captain Emosi Vucago, James Brown and Jimilai Naikadawa were leading by 21-19 in the first half.
In other games played this afternoon, in the Women=s final, Sea Hawks beat Anhui 10-7.
In other finals, Auckland International beat Ratu Filise in the Shield final by 28-21, Samurai Barracudas beat URF International 22-17 in the Bowl final and LICI Army beat Aussie Thunderbolts in the Plate final by 19-12.
