The Fiji Airways Men's National 7s team have outplayed Argentina 26-19 in their first pool game to keep their hopes of defending their Dubai 7s title alive.

Vuiviwa Naduvalo scored a double with the other tries from skipper Jeremaia Matana and George Bose with the conversions by Bose and Waisea Nacuqu.

Argentina scored first through Santino Zangara and Marcos Moneta to give them an early lead before Fiji struck back through Naduvalo and Matana and then another one from Naduvalo.

Fiji led 19-12 at the break.

In the second half Bose extended Fiji's lead before Sebastian Dubuc got the Argentinians back within reach.
