UK records more than 100,000 deaths due to COVID-19

More than 100,000 people have died with COVID-19 in the United Kingdom, after 1,631 deaths within 28 days of a positive test were recorded in the daily figures.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson says he takes full responsibility for the government's actions, saying they truly did everything they could.

Johnson says he is deeply sorry for every life lost.

Meanwhile, 100 million cases of COVID-19 have been recorded worldwide while 2.15 million people have died.
