Two men are in custody following the death of a man in his late 50s after he was allegedly assaulted while trying to stop a group of youths who were fighting at Maravu Settlement in Valelevu last night.
Police say the victim was allegedly trying to stop a family member who was involved in a fight with a group of youths, when he was punched.
He fell on the ground, was unconscious, conveyed to Valelevu Health Centre and was pronounced dead on arrival.
