A 26-year-old self-employed man of Kulukulu, Sigatoka, and a 40-year-old self-employed woman of Nadi are in police custody in relation to alleged offences involving social media content.

Police say it is alleged that the Sigatoka man was posting intimate visual recordings and trafficking obscene publications.

It is alleged that he shared a victim’s nude photo through a social media app and attempted to obtain money from her.

Meanwhile, Police say the 40-year-old Nadi woman is being investigated for allegedly causing harm by posting electronic communication.

She allegedly went live on social media and was seen indecently abusing the victim and her daughter.

The Fiji Police Force Cybercrime Unit is investigating both cases.
