Two charged with sacrilege and theft for allegedly breaking into a Ba temple remanded by court

A man and a juvenile who allegedly broke into a temple in Ba on Sunday morning have been remanded in custody by the Ba Magistrates Court.

29-year-old Lemeki Malimali Tabusoi who is a farmer and a 17-year-old are charged with a count each of sacrilege and theft.

Both are from Namara Village in Ra.

Police say the two allegedly broke into the Geeta Ashram Temple at 3.30am Sunday.

Police had questioned and released another man in relation to this case yesterday afternoon.

The matter will be called on the 3rd of May for bail ruling.
