Two arrested for drug possession at Port Mua-i-Walu, Suva

Two men who arrived this morning on a shipping vessel are in police custody after being found with illicit drugs during a search conducted by the Fiji Police Force and the Fiji Dog Detector Unit at Port Mua-i-Walu in Suva.

Police say a 39-year-old farmer was discovered with branches of dried leaves suspected to be marijuana, while a 26-year-old unemployed man was also found with dried leaves in his possession.

They say both men remain in custody as investigations into the matter continue.
