Having 2 time Olympic Gold Medallist Jerry Tuwai playing is like having a coach on the field.
Fiji Airways Men’s National 7s coach Osea Kolinisau highlighted this after their 17-10 bronze medal win over New Zealand at the HSBC Madrid 7s this morning.
Kolinisau says he is happy with Tuwai’s performance and that he is going for a third Olympics.
He says they didn’t get it right in the semi-final but to win against New Zealand twice is a big learning for the team.
The Fiji 7s coach says they are not there yet in regards to preparations for the Olympics as they are still finding out more about themselves as a team.
He says he got what he wanted out of the Madrid 7s, and that was for the boys to work together as a team.
The Paris Olympics Rugby 7s competition will be held from the 24th to the 30th of July.
