Tuwai and Viriviri nominated for World Rugby Men’s Sevens Player of the Decade

Tuwai and Viriviri nominated for World Rugby Men’s Sevens Player of the Decade

Olympic gold medal-winning 7s players Jerry Tuwai and Samisoni Viriviri have been nominated for the World Rugby Men’s Sevens Player of the Decade.

Tuwai won World Rugby Men's 7s Player of the Year Award last year while Viriviri won the award in 2014.

Tomasi Cama Junior of New Zealand is also nominated.

Other nominees are South Africa’s, Cecil Afrika, Werner Kok, Seabelo Senatla, New Zealand’s Tim Mikkelson, Samoa’s Mikaele Pesamino and Perry Baker of USA.

The other awards are Men’s 15’s Player of the Decade in association with Tudor, Women’s 15’s Player of the Decade in association with Tudor, International Rugby Players Men’s 15’s Try of the Decade, International Rugby Players Women’s 15’ s Try of the Decade and Women’s Sevens Player of the Decade in association with HSBC.

Fans have until the 25th of this month to vote and the winners will be announced on the 7th of December.
