All Blacks prop Ofa Tu'ungafasi has reaffirmed his commitment to NZ Rugby, re-signing until the end of 2024.
Tu'ungafasi says that he is very grateful and he is looking forward to doing everything in his power to make the All Blacks team.
He says there is no better place to be right now than being at home close to his family and he is thankful for the next three years.
The front-rower has played 39 tests for the All Blacks, debuting against Wales in 2016, and played in the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Japan.
Tu'ungafasi told Newshub that while overseas clubs came calling, the ability to stay in New Zealand was too good to turn down.
The 28-year-old is expected to feature for the Blues against the defending champions Crusaders at 2.35pm this Sunday.
The Chiefs will face the Hurricanes at 6.05pm Saturday.
