Staff of Dreketi Agriculture Station in Macuata have been reminded to be vigilant and work closely with farmers in the area to ensure effective implementation of agricultural programs, and that government assistance reaches its intended recipients.
Agriculture Minister Tomasi Tunabuna reminded the staff that they have a huge role in strengthening partnerships with rice farming communities, providing timely technical advice, and monitoring progress on the ground to help increase production and improve food security.
Tunabuna says they will need to carry out their responsibilities with dedication and commitment, and that the success of their agricultural programs is dependant on their service to farmers.
