Trough of low pressure over Fiji

Trough of low pressure over Fiji
The windy and rainy weather conditions currently being experienced in the Central Division is due to an active trough of low pressure over parts of Fiji which is expected to move further away from the group later today.

There will be moderate northeast winds, gusty at times, turning southeast and freshening over the southern parts of the group later today which is expected to extend to the north.

There will be some rain, heavy at times, expected for Vanua Levu, Taveuni, Lomaiviti and Northern Lau groups.

Meanwhile, for all mariners, a strong wind warning remains in force for Conway Reef, Kadavu Passage, Vatu-I-Ra Passage, Koro Sea and Southern Law Waters so please take precautions.
