The Nadi Weather Office has now confirmed that the tropical depression located to the West South West of Nadi is not expected to form into a tropical cyclone.
However, another tropical depression has now formed to the West of Fiji and with the two systems, the main concern for Fiji is continuous heavy rain and flooding of low lying areas.
Nadi Weather Office director Alipate Waqaicelua said the depression currently located closer to Fiji will not form into a cyclone after they assessed the weather system.
Waqaicelua said people are advised to take precautionary measures as continuous heavy rain is expected due to the two tropical depression systems.
