Tropical Disturbance 09F to bring more rain this week

You should expect a lot of rain in the next few days if you live in Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands.

The Fiji Meteorological Service says a low-pressure system which was being monitored in the last few days has developed into a Tropical Disturbance.

TD09F remains located to the northwest of the country.

You can expect more rain from after midday today.

There is a heavy rain warning in force for Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands as well as the Lau group.

The Weather Office says there is a risk of flash flooding of low lying and flood-prone areas.

TD09F has low to moderate chance of developing into a cyclone.
