It was a tragic beginning of the New Year for a 34-year-old woman of Salim Street as she is now homeless after her home was destroyed in a fire yesterday afternoon.
Police say that the estimated cost of the damage is $90,000.
Investigations to determine the cause of the fire is still ongoing.
The National Fire Authority says the fire destroyed one house and partially damaged three other houses that were close to the house.
The homes were vacant at the time of the fire and there were no reported injuries.
