It will be a tragic Diwali for a family as a man in his 50s has died following an accident along Queens Road near Navo, Nadi.
Police say the man was a passenger in a vehicle driven by a 42-year-old man, which veered off the road yesterday morning.
The man died from injuries sustained in the crash, while the driver remains admitted at Nadi Hospital.
Police investigations are continuing.
The national road death toll currently stands at 59 compared to 44 for the same period last year.
